AI chatbots, like ChatGPT, are trained to answer various questions, from gardening tips to generating code but a new study of chatbot queries showed otherwise. Researchers analyzed 1 million real-world conversations with 25 large language models. Over five months and 150 languages, they found that although most queries were about coding, a notable number touched on unsafe topics and about 10% were about sexual things.
A company called Luvly is turning IKEA-style flat-packing into cars. Their first model, the O, is light and modular, reducing emissions from shipping. It’s designed for city commuting, has two 35-pound battery and packs for a 62-mile range. Priced at €10,000 ($10,500), it's shipped flat to dealerships for assembly. Luvly plans to license the flat-pack tech to big automakers, hoping to promote sustainability in the future of transportation.

Japanese scientists in Kyoto have made strides in "reading" dreams. Led by Professor Yukiyasu Kamitani, the team achieved a 60% accuracy rate using MRI scans to decipher images from the early sleep phase. Volunteers described dream images after brief awakenings, creating a database categorized into visual groups. In subsequent sleep tests, the team identified dream categories with 60% accuracy, showcasing the potential to decode dream content from sleep-associated brain activity.
NASA has discovered water and carbon-rich samples from an asteroid! The samples were collected by NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft from an asteroid named Bennu. Scientists believe these findings could provide insights into the origins of water on our planet and contribute to our understanding of the building blocks of life in the universe.
