Imagine sitting down on this thrown and staring down a 15 story elevator shaft. You’re a few cocktails into your night at Jonathan’s House warming party and you decide that it’s time to drain the main vein. And then boom! You walk into this glass floor bathroom. I honestly don’t think I could do it.

The original concept was designed by the Guadalajara-based studio Hernandez Silva Arquitectos. When they got the contract to redesign a 1970’s Mexican neocolonial building they decided to work around what they had, and someone on the team came up with the concept of having a glass floor instead of hiding the old elevator shaft.

The bathroom has made it’s way around the internet a few times and has always had the exact same pun attached to it that “it would literally scare the crap out of you”.
